I am a dedicated and hard-working student devoted to being a sister, daughter, and friend. As a gifted artist and leader, I use my talents to strengthen my positions of influence with creativity, ambition, and understanding. My passion for reaching the heart of my peers through leadership roles led me to step into Student Leadership at my church where I am an invested member of the youth ministry’s core media team. Academically, I was recognized as “Top Scholar” three years in a row between 2016 and 2018 and awarded the Principal's Citizenship Award two years in a row during my first years in high school. I currently serve as Vice President of the student body’s ASB student council at my high school after having served as VP during my Junior year.
I have volunteered over 500 hours in the production ministry at Mariners Church. I spoke for a high school online sermon on three occasions and was the lead editor for the weekly preschool ministry videos aired on Youtube. I have completed my first two years of high school with a 4.00 GPA and continue to strive for excellence in my education having studied for the ACT to achieve a score of 31. Bringing my schooling into nature, I enjoy learning through exploration in my private school’s Adventure Leadership classes. Furthering my academics, I successfully completed the college-readiness program, AVID, and developed my public speaking via the Toastmasters International program.
With college ahead, I work to develop my passion for film, furthering my education, and being a role model to my brother and peers. Ultimately, I aspire to live a life in pursuit of the Lord and use my creativity and influence to shine the light of Christ into other people’s lives and encourage joy through my actions and storytelling through film, photos, or writing. I try to live my life in alignment with the scripture Romans 12:2: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
